ChatHive for WordPress

What you need

• A ChatHive account. It starts with 14 days free, with no card.
• A WordPress site, version 6.3 or newer.
• Your landing page in ChatHive set to your WordPress site's address. ChatHive starts the chat only on the site it was set up for.

Set it up

1. Create your ChatHive account, then add your company, your landing page and your documents.
2. In ChatHive open Setup, then Widget, and copy your Site ID. It starts with site_.
3. In WordPress open Plugins, then Add New, search for ChatHive, then install and activate the plugin.
4. Open Settings, then ChatHive. Paste your Site ID, choose where the chat shows and save.
5. Press Test connection. When it says Connected, open your site: the chat button is at the bottom of the page.

Show the chat on some pages only

In the plugin settings choose the option for pages where you add the ChatHive Chat block or the [chathive] shortcode, then add the block (search for ChatHive in the block inserter) or the shortcode to those pages.

If the chat does not show

• Press Test connection: it says what is wrong in plain words.
• Check that the landing page in ChatHive (Setup, then Details) is your WordPress site's address.
• Check that your ChatHive account has an active subscription.

About your visitors' data

The plugin contacts ChatHive only after you enter a Site ID, and the chat does not use cookies. See the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
